TehranAyatollah Ali Khamenei, the Supreme Leader of Iran, warned Donald Trump on Friday to prioritize his own nation. The 86-year-old Iranian Supreme Leader declared that Trump would soon be "overthrown" and called him "arrogant."
In a brief speech that was broadcast on Iranian state media, Khamenei also denounced the demonstrators, claiming that they were "ruining their own streets" in order to appease Trump, the president of another nation. Interestingly, the audience in the background was yelling "death to America" as Khamenei spoke to the country.
Khamenei declared, "Everyone should know that the Islamic Republic came to power with the blood of hundreds of thousands of honorable people, and it will not back down in the face of saboteurs." "They wish to bring him joy. He would manage his own nation if he was capable of doing so.
Iranian protests and TrumpAs Iran struggles with an economic crisis brought on by sanctions imposed by the US-led West, the country is experiencing one of the worst protests in years. At least 42 people have died as a result of the protests, which the Iranian government has blamed on the United States. According to an Associated Press report, Iran has also initiated a massive crackdown on protesters, detaining over 2,270 of them.
The Iranian government has been cautioned by Trump not to kill the "brave" demonstrators. The 79-year-old Republican president praised the agitators and said Iranians ought to "feel strongly about freedom." "Freedom is unmatched. You folks are courageous. "What has happened to your country is regrettable," Trump remarked.
Vice President JD Vance, his deputy, had earlier warned the Iranian government that Tehran had a "lot of problems" and that they should discuss their nuclear program with the United States.
The exiled prince of Iran supports demonstrations against KhameneiCrown Prince Reza Pahlavi, whose terminally ill father left Iran shortly before the Islamic Revolution of 1979, has supported the anti-Khamenei demonstrations despite the dire circumstances. Interestingly, a large number of the demonstrators on Thursday were also observed shouting phrases like "This is the last battle! "Pahlavi will come back!" during the demonstrations
Additionally, Pahlavi has called on European leaders to support Trump in any potential action against the Khamenei regime. In a recent speech, he stated, "I call on them to use all technical, financial, and diplomatic resources available to restore communication to the Iranian people so that their voice and their will can be heard and seen."
