At a lavish event called "What's Next on Netflix" in Mumbai on Tuesday, Netflix revealed its 2026 project slate. A new slate of films and television shows in various genres was revealed.

Among these, Ikka, starring Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra, attracted notice. After 29 years since the 1997 movie Border, these two actors are reunited in the legal drama.

As soon as the first teaser for Ikka was released, social media users praised Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna's performances. "Tara Singh & Rehman Dakait crossover" was written by one user. "Didn't expect Netflix was cooking with Sunny and Akshay," said a different fan. Another comment said, "Sunny Deol vs. Akshay Khanna what a Collab (sic)."

Some users expressed their admiration for Sunny Deol's role-playing by writing, "It's so fresh to see Sunny Deol try new roles."

Netflix posted the Ikka first look teaser along with the caption, "Guilty until proven innocent." Will the law, however, discover an exception? Watch Ikka, which will soon be available exclusively on Netflix (sic), as renowned defense attorney Sikandar Mehra makes the ultimate moral decision.

Ikka: Plot and cast

In addition to Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, Tillotama Shome, Dia Mirza, Sanjeeda Sheikh, and Jyoti Mukerji will play significant roles in the movie. A renowned attorney who has to defend a man with a troubled past is the subject of the Netflix thriller. The movie is tense, emotional, and about a father who fights to keep his family safe even at the expense of his own honor.

On the professional front, Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna

Regarding her career, Sunny Deol most recently starred alongside Varun Dhawan and Ahan Shetty in the war drama Border 2 as Lt Col Fateh Singh Kaler. In the meantime, Akshaye Khanna has gained attention for his performance in Aditya Dhar's Dhurandhar Part 1 as gangster Rehman Dakait.
