To be clear, I never took part in or was involved in any illegal or exploitative activities. I had very little contact, and it had nothing to do with abusive behavior.

"Some previous email exchanges have come to light that exhibit poor judgment in tone," he continued. I regret that, and considering what was known at the time, I can see how they read today. What was Richa Chadha's response?

Richa Chadha criticized the writer, writing on X (formerly Twitter), "If life makes you a Deepak, be a Mohammad, not Chopra (sic)."

What does Richa Chadha mean when she says, "Be a Mohammad."

In Kotdwar, Uttarakhand, a gym owner named Deepak Kumar confronted a group of people posing as members of the Bajrang Dal who were intimidating an elderly Muslim shopkeeper. This incident is mentioned in Richa Chadha's comment. The dispute started when Bajrang Dal employees protested the name of a store owned by Mohammad Shoaib in Kotdwar called "Baba Dress," according to news agency PTI. According to police, they asked Shoaib to change the name because they thought it might be mistaken for "Siddhbali Baba," a well-known Hanuman temple in the region.

The group put pressure on Shoaib to rename the store about two and a half months ago, but he promised to do so after relocating. Shoaib moved his store ten to fifteen days ago, but the protests persisted.

When Bajrang Dal employees gathered outside the store on January 28, they got into a fight with Shoaib and his friend, a local gym owner named Deepak Kumar. Deepak forced the demonstrators to leave after introducing himself as Muhammad Deepak during the altercation. On Sunday, Kotdwar police filed three separate cases following the protests.
