On February 3, Netflix revealed its India release schedule, and it appears to have a pretty intriguing lineup. Ikka, which stars Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, is one of the movies that has everyone talking. The actors' reunion, 29 years after Border, is the first of two reasons the movie is unique. The Netflix original series Ikka will debut this year. The Akshaye Khanna and Sunny Deol movie appears to be a thriller and courtroom drama. In response to a request for an update on the movie's release date, Netflix stated that a tentative date has not yet been decided.
According to Netflix, Ikka is the tale of a renowned, uncorruptible attorney who is coerced into defending a murder suspect—a man whose career he had infamously ended—forcing him to employ every tactic in the book, whether morally right or wrong, in order to win the case because failing would mean losing everything he values.
Speaking about the movie, the Ikka team revealed: "We are thrilled to present IKKA, our second Netflix original after Maharaj, which was incredibly well received by viewers. This intensely personal script, which has been developed over many years, takes place as a compelling confrontation between two fierce rivals: a prominent attorney compelled to defend the man whose relationship with him and his spouse is replete with painful memories. A father's unwavering quest to protect his family in a deal with the devil, even at the expense of his morals, will be a relentless thriller full of emotional depth.

Siddharth P. Malhotra is the director of Ikka, while Althea Kaushal and Mayank Tewari wrote the script. Under the name Alchemy Films, Siddharth P. Malhotra and Sapna Malhotra are producing the movie, with Sapna Malhotra acting as executive producer. In addition to Dia Mirza, Tillotama Shome, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Shishir Sharma, and Akansha Ranjan, the cast includes Sunny Deol and Akshaye Khanna, making it a powerful ensemble-driven project.
