On January 28, the two teams squared off at the Dr. Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy ACA-VDCA Cricket Stadium in Visakhapatnam. New Zealand batted first in the match and scored a total of 215 runs.
After limiting the Indian team to 165 runs, the visitors helped themselves to a 50-run victory, marking their first triumph over the Men in Blue in the current Twenty20 International series. Even though India lost the match, Shivam Dube's all-around performance was noteworthy.
In an effort to move the hosts closer to victory, Dube, batting in the middle order, scored 65 runs in 23 deliveries. It's also important to note that Dube tied the record for the third most runs in an over scored by an Indian in Twenty20 International cricket with three sixes and two fours in the twelfth over.
In T20I cricket, both Rohit and Dube have now scored 28 runs in an over for India. Yuvraj Singh is in first place with 36 runs after hitting six sixes against England in 2007, while Sanju Samson is in second place with 30 runs.

"We intentionally used six batters. We wanted to push ourselves and have five bowlers. We would have played other players if we hadn't wanted to play the players from the World Cup squad. During the post-match presentation ceremony, Suryakumar Yadav stated, "We have been batting well batting first."
